Apple Seeds 3. Beta visionOS 1.3 to Developers

Apple today released the third beta of its visionOS 1.3 update to developers. The first beta was released about three weeks ago, and the second about a week ago.

Developers can download the latest build via the Settings app on their device by enabling developer betas. As always, Apple recommends backing up your device before installing any new software.

A free developer account is required.

  1. Go to settings
  2. Later General.
  3. To enable Beta Updates
  4. And then select visionOS Developer Beta.

While the first two betas of visionOS 1.3 didn’t introduce any groundbreaking new features, Apple hinted at further improvements to features like Personas and EyeSight. The update is also likely to fix remaining bugs.

It is noteworthy that Apple has announced the next version, visionOS 2, which is planned to be released this fall, along with iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 12 and tvOS 18. In addition, according to the report, development of 2025 software updates has begun.

It’s thought that the focus on internal improvements could mean that Apple will prioritize a more stable and polished version for the public when VisionOS 1.3 is finally released.
