Summary: Inside Raven’s Conspiracy Jamie has disappeared, and Zoe has returned after a lifetime away from the TARDIS. Does even the evil Time Lord Raven realise the terrible scope of the conspiracy she is involved in? The Doctor and his friends must struggle to uncover the truth.

Review: Doctor Who: The Second Doctor Adventures: The Raven Conspiracy was a great continuation of this story line. What’s more, the box set culminated in another awesome cliffhanger.

Story

Because of this cliffhanger, I won’t go into too much story detail. I will say that the writers really grasp the importance of internal logic, world-building, and characterization.

By “Tiz Fishes” Nicholas Briggs It was a character-driven piece that introduced a new threat into the mix. Briggs did a great job of keeping everyone on the back burner from beginning to end. The story developments felt organic, but they weren’t irreversible.

“Catastrophe Theory” Mark Wright has fully reunited the beloved classic Tardis crew, but this time Jamie and Zoe have the advantage of age and experience.

They are also supported by another beautifully designed alien species, and the resulting story is full of mystery, suspense, and romance.

Mark Wright and Nicholas Briggs’ The Vanishing Point pushed the Tardis crew to the brink, with Briggs and Wright collaborating on a story that relied on the tried and true cliché of ancient Time Lord mythology.

In the process, listeners are introduced to a third new alien species. Of course, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Of course, we’re in for a treat when Briggs and Wright inevitably prove that those stakes can be raised.

Acting

The entire cast is amazing. However, I have to highlight two performances. The first is, Wendy Padbury Playing Zoe, who is now aging, was absolutely brilliant.

Second, Emma Noakes She played Raven at the same pace as her inherited co-stars. In the end, I was completely sold on Raven’s development and Noakes’ commitment to her.

Comprehensive

Thank you, Big Finish. Doctor Who: The Second Doctor Adventures: The Raven Conspiracy It left me on the edge of my seat. I can’t wait to hear how you solve this.
