Samsung announces Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra and Galaxy Watch 7 with powerful internal hardware and AI features

Starting with the Galaxy Watch Ultra, Samsung aims to target professional trainers and athletes with high-end health features and more. The Watch Ultra is the company’s most advanced wearable to date and will compete with devices like the Apple Watch Ultra not only in terms of design but also in terms of feature set.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra has a design that’s close to square but not quite square, with a chassis that features rounded corners that Samsung calls a Titanium Cushion design. Samsung claims the new design offers increased durability, but the display is circular, which is consistent with the standard models. The Watch Ultra also features a new “Dynamic Lug” band system that works similarly to the mechanism Apple uses for its wearable.

The wearable comes with a titanium build for enhanced durability, giving it 10ATM water resistance for intense swimming and even diving sessions, as the Watch Ultra can operate at depths of 500 meters below sea level. Above sea level. The Ultra wearable can operate at depths of up to 9,000 meters, making room for fitness tracking and intense walking sessions. When combined with the new AI features on the One Ui 6 Watch, the Galaxy Watch Ultra achieves better FTP Measurements.

Apart from the usual button layout that you find on the Galaxy Watch, the 7 model comes with a new “Quick Button” dedicated to specific features that you can set as shortcuts, like the Action Button on the Apple Watch. The 1.5-inch display can reach brightness levels as high as 3,000 nits, which is a must for outdoor use. The device is also powered by the Exynos W1000 chip with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. You can get the Galaxy Watch Ultra in the US for $649 in Titanium Silver and Titanium Gray.

As for the Galaxy Watch 7 models, the wearables have a very similar design to last year’s models, giving it a rather classic look. The wearable shares most of the Ultra’s features, but lacks a few professional features as it wasn’t aimed at the market. It has a softer and more refined design compared to the Galaxy Watch Ultra, and comes with new band designs for a refreshed look and feel.
