OSU Football: Cowboys Ranked Among Top 100 Players in College Football 25

The 2024 Oklahoma State football team has two of the top 100 players in college football history, at least according to EA Sports and its rating system.

EA Sports on Wednesday released its top 100 players and base ratings for its highly anticipated College Football 25 video game, which is set to be released on July 19. The list includes OSU running back Ollie Gordon, who is No. 3 with a 96 overall rating, and defensive end Nick Martin, who is No. 80 with a 90 overall rating.

Here’s a breakdown of their ratings:

Ollie Gordon
Overall: 96
Speed: 90
Acceleration: 97
Power: 79
Awareness: 97
Jump: 87

Nick Martin
Overall: 90
Speed: 82
Acceleration: 87
Power: 82
Awareness: 93
Jump: 79

Gordon’s 96 overall rating ranks him third behind Michigan cornerback Will Johnson and LSU left tackle Will Campbell, both of whom have 96 overall ratings. No one else in the game will have a 99 overall rating, which is the best possible rating, but Gordon’s rating would make him the highest-rated offensive skill player, runner and non-Will player in the country.

Fittingly, the Big 12 Preseason Offensive Player of the Year is also the highest-graded player in the conference. The next Big 12 player on the list is Colorado wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter, who is ranked No. 6 with a 95 overall grade. But the Big 12 contains four of the 14 running backs in the top 100. Others include Texas Tech’s Tahj Brooks (No. 36/92 OVR), Kansas’ Devin Neal (No. 42/92 OVR) and UCF’s RJ Harvey (No. 68/91 OVR).

Martin is the fourth-highest-rated middle linebacker in the game. He is the only middle linebacker from the Big 12 to be ranked in the top 100. Martin is also the fourth-best defensive player from the Big 12.
