Luther Burden is ranked 95 points ahead of the College Football 25.

With just over a week until College Football 25 kicks off, things are starting to feel real ahead of the long-awaited return. On Wednesday morning, EA Sports released its top 100 overall players in the game and their ratings.

Missouri had only one player in the game’s top 100 players. Luther Burden ranked as the game’s 11th-highest-rated player. The superstar received a 94 overall rating. He is the game’s second-highest-rated wide receiver, trailing only Travis Hunter (Colorado).

Burden’s specific attributes were also revealed by EA. He will have 94 speed, 95 acceleration, 77 strength, 95 awareness, and 92 leaping. College football fans, and of course Missouri fans, will enjoy using the second highest rated receiver in the game.

All players listed in the top ten were 95 or higher overall. It is important to note that these ratings are made by the video game creators and not by college football experts. While EA is trying to market the game in the best possible way, it is worth considering that there is a slight bias in the ratings for some players. I won’t name names, but there could potentially be more than one player on a four-win team last season.

Brady Cook didn’t crack the game’s top 100 players. It’ll be interesting to see his rating when the game airs next week. There were eight quarterbacks in the top 100, all of whom received ratings between 90-93 overall. Given that the 100th ranked player had a 90 overall rating, Cook could still be in the upper 80s, which is where he should be rated.

Regardless, the highly anticipated video game is set to return after an eleven-year hiatus. Scheduled for release on July 19, it will be one of the most profitable video games of 2024. Football fans have been waiting for the return of EA’s famous game for a long time.
