EA Sports College Football 25 reveals top 100 player ratings

There’s just over a week left until college football returns to video games, and EA has spent the last few days releasing new information about the game to celebrate. The list comes in a nice spreadsheet format that lets you sort by team, conference, position, and even individual attributes. Sure, the list is filled with some of the most recognizable names in college football, like Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders and Michigan CB Will Johnson, but there are also plenty of surprises to be found.

To help you get a jump start on all this College Football 25We’ve broken down the list of modes beyond Ultimate Team and revealed a few standouts:

Top 10 players

The top 10 players in this year’s game are represented at a variety of positions and schools, but three (Michigan, Ohio State and Georgia) have multiple players represented. Those top 10 players are:

  1. Michigan cornerback Will Johnson
  2. LSU left tackle Will Campbell
  3. Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II
  4. Tennessee defensive lineman James Pearce Jr.
  5. Ohio State safety Caleb Downs
  6. Colorado wide receiver Travis Hunter
  7. Georgia safety Malachi Starks
  8. Michigan defensive back Mason Graham
  9. Ohio State running back Quinshon Judkins
  10. Georgia offensive lineman Tate Ratledge

Johnson, Campbell and Gordon II are all 96s overall, while the rest of the top 10 are 95s. No player in the game is ranked above 96 overall. Hunter is one of three cover athletes for the game, along with Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers (27th and 92nd overall) and Michigan running back Donovan Edwards (49th and 91st overall).

Quarterbacks are always a growing area of ​​interest because no position has a greater impact on the way you play. Eight quarterbacks are among the game’s top 100 players:

The most represented schools in the top 100 are Ohio State (8 players), Alabama (6 players), Georgia (6 players), defending national champion Michigan (5 players) and Oregon (5 players).

These ratings will carry over between each mode. College Football 25With the sole exception of Ultimate Team, players will have their own unique ratings depending on which specific card you’re using. These ratings are likely to change quite a bit throughout the season as breakout players emerge and at least a few players fail to live up to their lofty preseason expectations.
