The Los Alamos Community Foundation (LACF) is pleased to announce that community partners will receive more than $38,000 in funding this year, thanks to generous donors and endowment funds.

“The Community Foundation exists to support our community and nonprofits through enduring philanthropy. Established by generous donors, the foundations provide grant funding each year to help sustain and strengthen the capacity of our local nonprofits,” said LACF Executive Director Elizabeth Martineau.

This year, LACF received 22 grant applications from local organizations that contribute to essential services and improve the quality of life in Los Alamos. Grant committee members from the community and the LACF board of directors evaluated each application to determine funding.

“The Los Alamos Community Foundation is honored and pleased to help our local nonprofits build capacity. One of LACF’s goals is to help our nonprofits sustain themselves, and we have seen that happen over the last several years. We look forward to helping our local nonprofits in the future,” said LACF President Pat Soran.

If you would like to contribute to the foundations that provide grant funding, please visit the Los Alamos Community Foundation website. losalamoscf.orgYou can choose to donate to funds that benefit specific organizations, such as the Los Alamos Little Theatre and the Los Alamos Family Council, to areas you are passionate about, such as music or historical preservation, or contact us to set up a new fund.
