What’s going on in the Before Dawn video?

The Before Dawn clip showcases a tense moment when two soldiers find themselves walking towards a hostile group. The pair quickly prepare for a fight and then jump on the group as they walk away.

Before Dawn is a retelling of one of Australia’s most iconic military victories, following a young man living on the Western Front of World War I as he grapples with the realities of war in the trenches.

The film is directed by Jordon Prince-Wright from a screenplay by Jarrad Russell, based on a story and characters by Jordon Prince-Wright and Russell. The film stars Levi Miller, Travis Jeffery, Myles Pollard, Tim Franklin, Jordan Dulieu, Ed Oxenbould as Peter Sullivan, and Stephen Peacocke.

“A young man leaves his family’s sheep farm in rural Australia to join his countrymen on the Western Front of World War I in the hope of hastening the end of the bloody conflict,” reads the official synopsis for the film. “But as the fighting rages on, he must grapple with the brutal realities of trench warfare, including a near-constant struggle to survive without leaving another man behind.”
