Veeps Launches Veeps Studio to Produce “Event Cinema”

SPECIAL: Veeps, the live music and entertainment broadcaster, has announced the launch of Veeps Studio, a division of the company focused on bringing film projects to life and connecting them to audiences and fans around the world.

The first project of the episode was released on June 20, Perform ritual here Perform ritual nowis a feature-length concert/narrative film co-produced with the rock band Ghost, which grossed $5.04 million in its first weekend in theaters. The studio will be directed by Veeps co-founder Kyle Heller, and Executive Producers will be Benji and Joel Madden.

“When we first saw the concept for RITE HERE RITE NOW, we knew it needed to be available to fans in the most global and expansive way possible,” Heller told Deadline in a statement about the launch of Veeps Studio. “We’re thrilled to be a part of making that happen with VEEPS Studio and the film’s other partners.”

Since its founding in 2018, Veeps has taken on the role of producer for a wide range of livestreams and concert broadcasts, in addition to delivering high-quality content to TVs and devices. The launch of Veeps Studio was described as a natural progression for a company already known as a home for top-tier documentary concert and music-focused film content, as well as comedy specials and more.

While details about upcoming projects are still under wraps, we’ve heard that Veeps Studio has a number of projects in the works that lean toward “event cinema,” which the company describes as a combination of live performance footage with narrative elements that bring together the fan base and community.

Veeps has previously broadcast world-class musical performances from Billie Eilish, Bob Dylan, Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton, Foo Fighters and Kings of Leon to millions of viewers worldwide. Named the World’s Most Innovative Company by Fast Company, Veeps holds the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest ticketed livestream performance with their appearance at Louis Tomlinson’s ‘Live from London’ benefit concert in December 2020.
