The first performance of the In Your Hometown Summer Concerts has moved indoors

(WJET/WFXP)– The Erie Philharmonic announced that they will move the first installment of their In Your Hometown Summer Concerts to an indoor venue.

With the weather forecast looking bleak and intermittent showers expected, the first concert of the series is being moved to the Mellon Veterans Outreach Campus (MVOC) at 16 West Division Street, North East, PA 16428. Wednesday’s concert was originally scheduled to take place at Gibson Park.

Anyone planning to attend can access the campus via North Lake Street/Route 89 at the intersection of North Lake Street and Division Street.

The concert will again start at 7pm and the orchestra will be conducted by Daniel Meyre, while the instrument menagerie will start at 5:30pm.

Participants are asked to bring their own chairs and alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

The concerts will take place at Corry Park in Downtown on July 11 and at Diamond Park in Meadville on July 12. For a full schedule of artists in the concert series, Click here.
