Refrigerator Reaches Peak Performance – Cooling Article

UNITED KINGDOM: A fridge sponsored by wholesaler Beijer Ref is strapped to the back of charity fundraiser Daniel Fairbrother as he aims to raise £5,000 by completing the 100km Peak District Ultra Challenge.

Fairbrother, from Stevenage, took on the challenge in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital in recognition of the treatment provided to his and his fiancée’s eight-year-old twin sons with a hereditary eye condition.

Having completed this year’s London Marathon carrying her fridge, affectionately named Tallulah, Fairbrother then decided to run two marathons in a row in the rugged terrain of Derbyshire’s Peak District.

The fridge was colourfully wrapped to promote Beijer Ref’s Quickfridge emergency cooling solution. Beijer Ref’s innovation and marketing director Howard Noble said: “When we saw what Daniel was trying to do, we had to get involved. It’s a fantastic effort for a great cause and we’re delighted to be helping him along the way.”

Donations to help Daniel Fairbrother reach his goals can still be made at: JustGiving page.
