NXT ratings rebound gives WWE more reason to believe in Joe Hendry

The ratings and viewership figures for the July 9 episode of WWE NXT have been announced.

According to Wrestlenomicslast night, the show averaged 656,000 viewers and a 0.24 rating in the 18-49 demographic. That’s a big turnaround from last Tuesday’s disappointing pre-holiday numbers, with 21% overall viewers and a full 60% in the demographic.

It was also NXT’s best performance since June 18, the last time TNA’s Joe Hendry was on the show.

NXT faced off in the Copa America semifinals between underdog Canada and powerhouse Argentina, which won the night in the ratings on FS1 and drew a .74 in the demo. Programming by InsiderNXT ranked eighth in the 18-49 age bracket.

We didn’t see the last of Hendry and the other TNA stars on Tuesday night. Will Shawn Michaels be mentioned again next week? While we wait to find out…
