ZTE and Telkomsel celebrate major milestone in home terminal device distribution

Jakarta, Indonesia, July 11, 2024 – ZTE Corporation (0763.HK/000063.SZ), a global leader in integrated information and communications technology solutions, held a joint event with Telkomsel to celebrate the distribution of two million Android TV-enabled Set Top Boxes (STBs) and one million internet modem devices – Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) – by the region’s leading digital telecommunications service provider since 2020.

At the event, these two products were showcased as significant achievements in the distribution of Android TV and internet modem devices, highlighting the transformative impact on the home terminal device industry in Indonesia.

During the event, ZTE and Telkomsel representatives shared their views on this cooperation, reviewed the history of their partnership and expressed optimistic expectations for future business. Attendees had the opportunity to experience products first-hand and engage in discussions with ZTE’s product team.

With the Android TV-powered STBs, users can enjoy high-quality TV broadcast content and video-on-demand, a variety of popular Over-the-Top (OTT) services offered in partnership with Telkomsel, and offerings from other OTT platforms such as Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Prime, and more. As the pioneer of high-speed home internet services in Indonesia, IndiHome is now one of the most competitive video service platforms in Indonesia, leading the development of the industry in the country.

Additionally, the joint event showcased internet modem (CPE) products designed to meet the changing needs of users by creating a home internet and Wi-Fi network environment that provides higher speeds, lower latency, greater reliability and wider coverage.
