Polestar’s new electric Concept BST hints at shift to racier EVs

Polestar will be showing off its latest concepts and upcoming models at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK this year, but it has decided to give special attention to the 6 roadster version, pushing the boundaries of the model with a surprise Concept BST version.

Building on the gorgeous drop-top 2+2 shown in concept form at Goodwood in 2021, the Concept BST takes things a step further, adding a removable hardtop, aggressive air vents in the bonnet, a lower and larger front splitter, wider fenders and a completely angrier stance.

Concept BST, in essence, offers a glimpse into what life could be like if the Swedish electric carmaker decided to enter racing or consider selling a limited-edition Polestar 6 model that’s as happy on the streets as it is on the track.

The Swedish firm is keeping powertrain details under wraps, but it’s expected to use the same 875-horsepower, dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup as the 6 on which it’s based.
