Netflix’s thriller sequel to premiere in October

Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia made her feature film directorial debut (after several decades of short filmmaking) in 2020 with the thriller PlatformReleased via the Netflix streaming service. You can read my very positive review of this movie at THIS LINK , but the summary is that I was very impressed and couldn’t wait to see what Gaztelu-Urrutia would do next. Rich Flu before last year’s strikes, but it turned out that the next movie we’d see from him would be a sequel to his first movie, Platform 2This film will also be available to the world thanks to Netflix, and the broadcaster announced that it will release the film on the following date: October 4thHelping kick off the Halloween season, a trailer teaser comes with a release date Platform 2and you can see it in the above embedded file.

Directed by Gaztelu-Urrutia, written by David Desola and Pedro Rivero, Platform told this story: A vertical prison with one cell per floor. Two people per cell. Only one food platform and two minutes of feeding per day. An endless nightmare trapped in The Hole. Variation provides a reminder, “The tower’s real name is the Vertical Self-Governance Center, and it operates by assigning a handful of inmates to each floor. When it comes to food, a platform filled with food slowly descends, stopping for a set amount of time on each floor. But inevitably, this means those at the top get first pick, while those at the bottom are lucky enough to eat anything at all.

Gaztelu-Urrutia, Desola and Rivero share writing credit Platform 2 With Egoitz Moreno. Here is the summary: Do you think you can bring justice to the platform hell? And if you try, who will? As a mysterious leader imposes his own rules on the Platform, a new resident joins the fight against the controversial method of cruelty to the food system. But when eating from the wrong plate becomes a death sentence, how far are you willing to go to save your life?

In the sequel, Milena Smit (Girl in the Mirror), Hovik Keuchkerian (Red Queen), Natalia Tena (game of Thrones), and Oscar Jaenada (Luis Miguel: Seri).
